With the rapid development of social economy and the improvement of people’s living standard, the huge consumption of the resources has caused the exhausting of traditional energy and the serious pollution of environment. Under the dual pressure, people begin to think the energy substitution problem after the depletion of traditional energy. So all kinds of new energy are developed and utilized. The solar energy is considered to be the most promising new energy and the solar power generation has been paid more and more attention.Firstly, this paper introduces the current photovoltaic power generation system and focus on the advantages analysis and research of photovoltaic power generation system. The research statuses of photovoltaic inverter at home and abroad are introduced and the development trend of photovoltaic inverter is analyzed.Secondly, the topology structures and the inverter modes are introduced in this paper. The working principle of photovoltaic inverter is described in detail. The hardware system of photovoltaic inverter system is researched and designed. Based on the analysis of the main technical index for domestic small single-phase photovoltaic inverter, the overall structure of photovoltaic inverter is designed. The inverter main circuit, the control system, the protection circuit and the power supply circuit are designed. The power absorption circuit, filter circuit of the main circuit and the main control circuit, signal acquisition circuit and drive circuit of the control system are studied in detail.Thirdly, the software system of inverter is designed based on the hardware system of photovoltaic inverter. The overall architecture of software for the inverter is researched and designed. And the main control module, SPWM waveform generation module and the maximum power point tracking control module are researched. The maximum power point tracing algorithm is studied and the flow chart for realizing the algorithm is given.Finally, the control methods used in this paper are simulated by the simulation software MATLAB/Simulink. And the actual circuit is tested based on the simulation. The simulation results and specific test results show that the household small single-phase photovoltaic inverter and meet the actual demand.
