With the progress of industrial production level, the demand for low speed andhigh torque output is growing. The traditional deceleration mechanism exists bulky,weight, noise and other shortcomings. Combine the permanent magnet motor andgear to form a composite motor with a small size, light weight, low noise, accuratelytransmit torque and overload protection and so on. Therefore, the design ofcomposite motor for low speed and high torque direct drive is necessary and hasbroad prospects.This paper analyzed the structure and working principle of permanent magnetgear, through the finite element analysis to verify the correctness of the theoreticalformula. Determine the various factors that affect the performance of permanentmagnet gear, using the finite element method for modeling of permanent magnet gear,analyzing and calculating the impact of various factors on the output torque of thespecific impact of circumstances, and the various parts parameters of the permanentmagnet gear were set and optimization by the optimal solution.This paper presentsand design the topologies structure of the two different composite motor based on thestructure and working principle of permanent magnet motors and permanent magnetgear, namely embedded bilateral output composite motor and tandem bilateral outputcomposite motor. Given the parameters of the two structural composite motor,analyzes of their working principle, and apply them with Ansoft to2D finite elementanalysis. Calculate the flux density distribution and the distribution of magnetic fieldlines for embedded composite motor, analyzed three air-gap flux density of itsinstitutions, in order to verify the feasibility of the design of embedded compositemotor, but also analyzes the fluctuation curve of speed and torque when its load andno-load start, and stable operation of the torque and speed output. Because embeddedcomposite motor structural constraints, can not achieve the lower speed and torqueoutput, then designed tandem composite motor structure, calculate its parts distribution and flux density distribution of the magnetic field lines, when the no-load and load startup speed load torque fluctuations and stable operation speed andtorque output case, then verify the correctness of the design.Composite motor has compact structure, high torque density, high power factor,and overload protection capability, suitable for low-speed, high-torque direct drivesystem. This composite motor is designed to obtain a innovative in structure anddesign, and add a new way for design of low speed high torque motor.
