Co-firing combustion is one of the most important technologies that it can makeseffective use of currently equipment, reduce production costs and rationally use of thelimited resources of coal thermal power in thermal power industry. Scientific andrational blended coal combustion technology can save coal resources, make full useof low-grade coal, reduce coal-fired emissions, and it even can be taken for boilervariable load Production. For this, it would be one of the most important fields oftechnology in the future thermal power.Coal combustion process is a very complex reaction on physical and chemical,so boiler combustion and transformation experiments always have many limitationsas more factors involved, heavy workload complicated operations and measurementdifficulties. Nowadays, with the sciences development of heat transfer and computingcombustion, with functions of business computing software that based on fluidcomputing mechanics gradually improved, more and more studies about boilercombustion could made by numerical simulation.This paper is a numerical simulation about a300MW tangentially fired coalboiler in Hunan Province by business computational fluid dynamics software-Fluent.The boiler taken bituminous coal co-firing with lean coal instead of only bituminouscoal, the study is about different conditions on only bituminous coal, mixedcombustion and stratified co-fire. And the results is about temperature、velocity、species concentration fields of that conditions. Comparing results it can be known thatno significant changes in fluid flow field, a decline in the overall temperature of thefurnace and the parameters meet the actual furnace boiler. As the proportion of leancoal increases, the overall temperature of boiler furnace decreases. Hope to provide atheoretical reference on the similar boilers for design、operation、renovation.
