With the development of the city, the ownership of private car constantly improve, it is difficult to parking and searching for the car when the driver comes back.It has become the primary consideration when the driver comes out. While arriving at the destination the driver will looking for the parking space blindly.It is not only increased the cost of vehicles, but also waste a lot of time.At present, parking guidance system are mostly set up on the roadside by the way of LED display,it can display the remaining of parking berth in a real-time. Although this method has some effects, but in tight parking spaces of neighborhoods, which still need to find which parking lot have empty berth. It did not help the driver to solve the parking problem from the roots.In order to solve the difficulties of hard parking and hard finding, designed parking guidance system of the city. First of all, the system collect berth information of each parking spaces and then send it to the information processing center server.After that,users access the database by smart mobile of client software.At last,users can checking and reserving a parking space.The system consists of four parts:The first part is mainly through the ultrasonic range finder and LED dot matrix to find the empty spaces and display parking information.,and then through ZigBee wireless technology to achieve data transmission. The second part is mainly through the coordinator to tranmit the berths information into embedded terminals,and then the terminal transfer data to the information center server via QPRS module.The third part is to build a SQL database and establish backstage management module, which used to store information for each parking spaces.It is convenient for administrators to manage the information of users and parking;The fourth part designed a client software of Android, users access the SQL database by client software in order to achieve real-time inquiring and reserving parking spaces.This thesis designed a parking guidance system by constrast with conventional LED induction system.It improved intelligence and controllable of the system. Intelligent performance that the owner can easily inquiry the city’s parking spaces information at anywhere through mobile client software, and information is reliable. Controllability manifested by that car owners can reserve parking spaces by phone sofeware, in order to avoid searching parking blindly according to LED display when arrived at destination.If the system put into use, it will solve the problem of hard parking to a large extent, and also greatly enhance users’ parking experience.
