This paper has studied the peak pressure of shock wave and the bubble pulsationwhich are created by nonel detonator underwater explosion through underwater shockwave test systems and high-speed camera system and has analysed the influence of thewater depth on the detonator explosive performance. According to the explosive’sresearch of underwater rock breaking test, detonation velocity test and blasting cratertest in the10g TNT equivalence explosive tank, this paper has studied the impact ofwater depth on detonation velocity, rock breaking ability and work capacity ofexplosive.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows: The total energy gene-rated by asingle detonator within0~201m depth shows a slight downward trend and the slope ofits trend line is-0.0009which has proved the No.8industrial nonel detonator can bedetonated normally in the water depth of200meters. When the water pressure is0.5Mpa, underwater rock breaking capacity of PENT decreased by2.4%; When thewater pressure is1.0Mpa, it decreased by24.1%; When the water pressure is1.5Mpa, itdecreased by42.5%; When the water pressure is2.0Mpa, it decreased by64.2%; Whenthe soaking time are same, detonation velocity of emulsion explosives decreases alongwith the increasement of soaking pressure, and the bigger the soaking pressure is, thefaster the detonation velocity decreases. When the soaking pressure is same, the workcapacity of emulsion explosive decreases along with the increasement of soaking time,and the capacity tends to be stable after soaking48h; When the soaking time is same,along with the increasement of soaking pressure,the work capacity of emulsionexplosives showed a increasement first and then a decreasement; On the whole, theimpact of soaking pressure on the emulsion explosive performance is greater thansoaking time.
