Future trends in the automotive is electronic and networking. Therefore, electric vehicles and IoV (Internet of Vehicles) services will be paid more and more attention. But it is extremely difficult to verify the effectiveness of the IoV services in a real environment because of the limitation of the size and environment of the experiments. Traditional traffic software already has a mature network and vehicle model. But it has not traffic environment for electric vehicles, does not support the dynamic expansion and control of transportation entities, and cannot real-time communicate with the external system. These practical problems are restricting the rapid development of Internet of vehicles services with dynamic control requirements.Based on TransModeler, a traffic simulation software, this paper innovatively proposes a mesoscopic simulation system for IoV that combines traffic simulation and communication simulation.This paper first introduces the background knowledge and mechanisms of internal time slicing and event triggering in TransModeler. By analyzing the position of the simulation system in the entire IoV ecosystem, this paper summarizes the work scenarios and requirements of the simulation system. This paper focuses on the requirement analysis of the object control layer in the simulation system. Then, this paper proposes the overall structure of the system, describes the key processes and interfaces of the control layer. On this basis, this paper designs the overall class diagram for the key issues involved in each module, gives a detailed process design, and completes the implementation of the prototype system. It also designs and executes the test cases to test the functions and verify the prototype system, which shows that the prototype system can fulfill the requirements. In the end, there are summaries and future work of the system.
