The Study On Healing Landscape In Hainan Province

With the development of economy and society, the getting worse environment pollution leads to variety of health issue, as a result, more and more attention was paid to environment and wellness, which is gradually rational for most people. The landscape environment is regarded as an important convalescent factor in Kurotology. The research on healing landscape both in China and abroad has proved that good landscape environment can maintain and improve the physical and mental health. Healing landscape is an environment consisted by different kind of landscape element, and also a tool for preventing and curing disease, promoting sanatory rehabilitation and invigorating health effectively. Therefore, the study of healing landscape is of significance to national people in improving their body and mental health. As a famous and special convalescent scenic spot for tourist to live through winter and keep out cold, Hainan Province has sound nature environment, good air quality and plenteous restorative resources, which is very suitable for developing and creating sanotory convalescent environment, while aimed at building international health care base. Consequently, to research and improve healing landscape in Hainan Province is an important part for Hainan International Tourism Island development. What a pity that there are not many relevant researches on Hainan Province’s healing landscape from the point of Landscape Architecture until now.Considering landscape as a kind of convalescent factor from the angle of Kurotology, the study integrates subject of Kurotology into Landscape Architecture. Based on analyzing the current status of healing landscape in Hainan Province, and adopting methods of literature sourcing, investigating in real place and contrastive analysis, the study grubbs the landscape convalescent factor that can be exploited, then discusses the way to design healing landscape, finally the conclusions are made, including the strategies to make full use of natural convalescent factors and the means to design artificial convalescent factors. There are three important parts in this article:Firstly, the analysis on healing landscape theory. The study starts from the concept of healing landscape, makes a summary about the types and target audience, existing places and forms. On account of basic theory of Kurotology, the study analyzes the connection between landscape and convalescence, and pointes out that the landscape is an important factor for recuperation. As a consequence, the health benefits and rehabilitation principle of landscape were be discussed. Next, the currently design theory of healing landscape were summed up, which is just the theoretical system of the thesis.Secondly, field research. The thesis proceeds from the realities of healing landscape in Hainan Province. The paper takes the sanatorium garden for example, through the analysis of the field research and questionnaire to understand users’needs and landscape preference in rehabilitation environment, then the paper proposes the current situation and problems of healing garden landscape design in Hainan Province. On these basis, the paper summarizes the methods and strategies from the point of landscape artificial convalescent factors, to provide direction for the improvement of healing garden in Hainan Province.Finally, combines theory with practice. The thesis draws the conclusion on the basis of theory analysis and field research, discusses the landscape design of healing garden in Hainan Province from convalescent factors visual angle. At last, the paper accomplishes the analysis on characteristics and effects of natural and artificial convalescent factors of Hainan, and then summarizes the way to apply natural convalescent factors and the means to design artificial convalescent factors, to provide specific train of thoughts to design healing landscape.The innovation point of this paper lies on the innovation of research angle:introduces the Kurotology, and integrates it into Landscape Architecture. Then the paper combines those two disciplines theory as an entry point to carry out research, regards the landscape as an kind of convalescent factor. The main research achievements are summarized as follows:①Through on-the-spot investigation and from convalescent factor perspective, the paper proceeds the analysis of total present condition and design quality of healing landscape in Hainan Province, points out the existing problems and puts forward suggestions for improvement.②Combining literature theory and field research, this paper set design goals and principles for healing landscape of Hainan Province, in purpose of providing a reference for this type of landscape design in the future.③On account of analysis on characteristics and effects of natural convalescent factors, summarizes the way to apply natural convalescent factors and confirms that these sanatorium can be exploited: seaside sanatorium, forest sanatorium and mineral sanatorium. Furthermore, the feasible area and effective way of each type of sanatorium have also been concluded.④On the basis of analysis on superiority and effects of artificial convalescent factors, as well as field research, the paper summarizes the methods and design strategies of healing garden design respectively from these landscape elements:plants, waterscape, landform, pavement, road and activity facilities, aiming at providing direction and feasible suggestions for the design of healing landscape in Hainan Province.
