Self-supporting steel diffusing tower is a new industrial structure, used for industrial smelting waste emissions, its structure is different from the conventional steel towers and concrete towers. Self-supporting steel tower is different from the general steel towers, the cross-sectional variation greater extent determined by the forces, the resistance to lateral load time can use their own rigidity to give full play to the strength of the material itself is low. Self-supporting steel tower is a special tall structure is very sensitive to wind loads. For this type of structure, there is no technology-related research at home and abroad, but also rare relevant research literature published. Therefore, the free-standing steel tower diffuse wind resistance systematic research has become imperative. In this paper, the use of numerical calculation of self-supporting steel tower diffuse wind performance simulation analysis, mainly to complete the following work:(1) Self-supporting steel diffusing tower design:the use of "Building structure Load Code" provides the calculation method, the self-supporting steel tower emission lines were under equivalent static wind loads should be analyzed separately using shell and beam elements both kind of finite element models were calculated and analyzed. Producing the most unfavorable wind load conditions, and structural problems in the design and construction process should pay attention to.(2) Self-supporting steel diffusing tower diffuse modal analysis.To understand the natural vibration characteristics, and explains the importance of structural and modal analysis, modal analysis theory.(3) Self-supporting steel diffusing tower wind-induced vibration response of the time-domain analysis:linear filtering preparation MATLAB program to simulate the random, time-dependent, time-spatial correlation of fluctuating wind speed programs listed. On this basis, the overall structure of each beam element model of a single emission tower cylinder using spatial shell element model, using kinetic analysis module ABAQUS analyzes the time history of wind vibration response of the structure.(4) Since the frequency domain analysis of vertical steel tower relief:elaborated the theory of random vibration, respectively, and the overall structure of a single relief tower using ABAQUS random response module, the realization of wind vibration response of the structure of this analysis, the displacement wind vibration coefficient values and displacement power spectral response curve. Finally, the history analysis when compared with the frequency domain analysis of two results verify the reliability of two analytical methods.
