As a low-carbon motor, permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) has been the mainstream of AC servo system, which being widely used in every fields, such as industry and agriculture, aerospace and national defense, etc. And it has huge market demand and broad development prospects. But the PMSM is a multivariable, strong coupling, time-varying nonlinear system, and the PMSM servo system has been easily affected by the uncertain factors such as parameter perturbation, energy conversion and mechanical transfer, etc. and it’s difficult to achieve high-precision control for PMSM. So the control of PMSM has been one of the research hotspot. Therefore, it is necessary to find a simple and effective control method. Characteristic model theory has been proven to solve complex modeling problem in plenty of engineering practice and it is convenient to design low-level, intelligent controller. So based on the PMSM servo control system as the research object, the characteristic model theory is explored in the application of PMSM speed control system. There are mainly following aspects in this thesis:1. Through the comparative analysis of different control strategies under vector control, the " id=0" control strategy is adopted for the mathematical model of PMSM in d-q coordinate. And based on the control strategy, the characteristic model for the PMSM is established. Then the identification method of characteristic parameters is determined and the accuracy of the characteristic model is validated with mathematical simulation experiment method and the practical engineering inspection method.2. Based on the characteristic model of PMSM, two kinds of control scheme about mainly the linear and nonlinear golden section adaptive controller for PMSM are designed. Adjustable parameters of the controller are rectified according to simulation results. And meanwhile the robustness of the controller is verified. Compared with the two control methods, nonlinear golden section adaptive controller has a promising advantage.3. Intelligent controller is designed based on the intelligent and adaptive control theories and methods. Simulation and experiment results demonstrate the higher control precision, the stronger robust adaptability and the better steady state performance of combined controller.4. The method of arranging the transient process is able to effectively resolve the contradiction between overshoot and speediness of system. Simulation and experiment results validate the ability of this method to comb-out the overshoot and improve the control capability of system.
