The nuclear power plant main feedwater system is a complicated and multi-energy coupled system. Because of it above the NI and CI scope, the feed water system is one of the most important system for nuclear power plant. So model simulation and fault diagnosis for nuclear power plant main feedwater system have significance for improving the level of nuclear power plant operation and management. For modeling object has thermodynamics character and liquid character, this paper build the main feed water system’s model by bond graph method. The analysis of simulink result proves this model is valid and accurate. This pseudo bond graph model offers an accurate model for nuclear power plant design’s validating and evaluation. Based on the pseudo bond graph model and analysis for the system working principles, a novel fault Petri net model and fault diagnosis method are proposed. Through the consequence and account for this model, the static fault diagnosis and the dynamic fault diagnosis have been doing for the main feedwater system. Application shows that, the fault Petri net has more advantages than the fault tree in qualitative analysis and quantitative calculation. And this method is a new route for the nuclear plant systems’fault diagnosis. At the same time, this paper aanalyse the main factors, which affecting the system failure. And also provide a new kind of switch instrument for decrease the system’s fault probability.
