This thesis designed an intelligent-fault-diagnostic instrument for normal-speed switch control equipment which combined with the single-chip microcomputer control technology, sensor detecting technology, power electronic switch technology, bus communication technology and other technologies under the circumstance of making the railway signal control equipment more electrified, more miniature and more intelligent.Railway signal equipment is an important equipment to ensure traffic safety, turnout as one of the signal control equipment, to ensure traffic safety, improve the efficiency of railway operation has a vital role. This thesis is based on the design and working principle of switch control circuit of the traditional 6502 Electric Integrated and associated with the current situation of China's railway switch control equipment and finally designed this intelligent-fault-diagnostic instrument for normal-speed switch control equipment. This thesis first introduced the development situation of the switch control equipment in the railway signal equipment and analyzed the importance of the Intelligent-Fault-Diagnosis Instrument to the current railway operation. Then, according to the design characteristics of the electronic module and the function of the switch control equipment, a clearly ideas that this instrument need to design two modules: the switch driver module and the virtual switch, and functional requirements analysis have been made for each of them. Finally, the hardware and software programme has been developed for this instrument.For hardware design, the working principle of four-wire and six-wire control circuit switch has been introduced, and the whole hardware design of Intelligent-Fault-Diagnosis Instrument has been developed with a detailed description. Special stress has been laid on analyzing the design procedure and working principle of microprocessor circuit, control circuit of switch machine(equivalent circuit of switch machine), power supply circuit, current-voltage detection circuit, communication circuit and so on. For Software design, structured programming method used in software design has been firstly introduced. Then, focused on the course and working principle of microprocessor initialization, communication, control circuit, current voltage detection in detail.Finally, the Intelligent-Fault-Diagnosis Instrument has been tested and verified which showing that the design of the instrument can not only achieve good ZD6 series electric switch machine control and diagnostic capabilities of the circuit, but also can better meet the railway signal system switch control equipment to achieve the needs of fault diagnosis. Meanwhile, the instrument also features a complete, stable operation, small size, etc., there are good practical value in engineering detection.
