The comprehensive utilization of clean energy plays an important role in the sustainable development for our country social economy and environmental protection. With the powerful support of national policy, wind electricity, photovoltaic and other new energy sources have become an important part of generating resources. In Hangzhou, new energy power generation mainly consists of distributed photovoltaic mode, which has scattered resources, small capacity, variable user types, a power output with volatility and intermittent and other characteristics, and many small-capacity hydropower stations are not included in the dispatching control system. In this case, in allusion to the deficiencies of the original monitor mode, combined with its own characteristics and needs, hangzhou power company’s dispatching control center has constructed a new monitoring system for energy operation.This paper studies the present situation of new energy monitoring systems both at home and abroad, analyzes the existing new energy power access modes in hangzhou dispatching automation system and lin’an dispatching automation system, cites their features and deficiencies, and then proposes the urgent requirements for constructing a new energy operation monitoring system. In this paper, a new energy operation monitoring system which has been put into trial in zone scheduling is described in detail, starting from the general framework, to the functions of all software modules and then the actual operating results after test run. It can be seen that more detailed and intuitive data of new energy generation has been grasped by each company business department with this system, and the level of monitoring to new energy has been greatly improved compared with the original acquisition mode. It is also more conducive to energy-saving and emission-reduction when energy-saving scheduling is conducted after considering the economic operation of the power grid and energy conservation requirements. After the introduction of geographical information, weather information and other data sources, it will help the transport side improve power load forecasting accuracy and develop more advanced applications on the basis of its data. The operation of this system will provide the construction of smart grid in hangzhou with better basic data access and analysis display.
