In recent years, our country constructs a number of UHV transmission line engineerings in order to meet the continuous demand of electricity energy. Compare ing with other construction engineerings, UHV transmission line engineerings have many features:wide span, long front, wide covered, varied working environment, often be affected by the operating environment and the characteristics of natural climate. So there are many unforeseen and inevitable security risks during the construction of engineering. The existence of this problem can not only bring very negative impact for the smooth implementation of construction engineerings, but also bring immeasurable loss to the project once safety problems happened. Therefore, how to timely and effectively grasp the risk prevention and early-warning of engineering safety management in the construction of UHV transmission line becomes a very worthwhile study in the field of the current UHV transmission line engineering management. This article carries out in-depth research from security risk early-warning indicator system, early-warning model and early-warning system implementation about the UHV transmission line engineerings.Firstly, because the theory of security risk early-warning system is a very important theoretical basis of the study about UHV transmission line engineering. So there is a concise introduction for the theory. Namely, the entire early-warning system is split into early-warning analysis subsystem and early-control countermeasures subsystem. To further achieve the function of early-warning system, it is split into six stages:clearing warning meanings, looking for warning sources, analysising of warning intelligence, investigating warning degrees, forecasting warning levels, controlling warning intelligence, which lays the theoretical foundation for the establishment of early-warning systemSecondly, in order to achieve the goal of safety risk early-warning management about UHV transmission line engineering. We not only need early-warning theoretical foundation, but also scientifically analyse management objects. Furtherly we must build targeted index system which related with the management objects in order to complete analysis of management objects. Therefore, we firstly analyse main safety affecting factors one by one, which is based on the understanding of safety risk characteristics about UHV transmission line engineerings. Then we take advantage of the index system theory to classify each affecting factor. So we can build out three level index system of early-warning management about UHV transmission line engineering safety risk. The index system can be split into three subsystems, which includes early-warning subsystem of construction management, early-warning subsystem of construction entity, early-warning subsystem of construction craft. And it contains 9 second level indices,36 third level indices. While, we complete the classification of indices type which is based on getting each indice. The establishment of the index system provides the necessary conditions for the nextphase of the early-warning model construction.Finally, on the basis of the construction characteristics about UHV transmission line engineering and the comparision with various methods, we get result that put BP neural network into the system will be a good attempt. Here, we use BP neural network method to build a safety risk early-warning model of UHV transmission line engineering construction based on indicator system. Then we put "Anhui power to east UHV transmission line engineering" as an example to prove the validity of the model. We achieve the training and testing of the early-warning model and create easy-to-operate visual graphical user interface by MATLAB software. So that we can achieve the goal of safety risk early-warning and adopt appropriate measures. In short, the establishment of safety risk early-warning system about UHV transmission line engineering is not only a quantitative safety risk early-warning analysis method, but also an important prerequisite and guarantee for againsting and controlling safety risk. Those will be a driving force for the study of early-warning about UHV transmission line engineering construction.
