Risk management is an important content of project management. Based on circulating water residual-heat utilization project of power plant, this paper studies of some actual methods, which is suitable for project construction of large power plants in our country, including risk identification, risk assessment, risk response methods, which would make effective help and guidance in the project risk management for thermal power plants.Firstly, on the basis of a general definition for project risk and risk management, the paper gives the definition, molds and management processes of circulating water residual-heat utilization project. With which, the level of risk management for the project and organization can be improved.Secondly, the paper analyzes the characteristics of the circulating water residual-heat utilization project risk. Basic on the basic approach to risk identification methods, the paper gives the applicability of analysis to identify the major risk factors of the project.Thirdly, the paper recommends a project risk assessment model based on cloude computing, which is a method of risk evaluation. Then, the paper studies the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and the applicability analysis of countermeasures of risk management for the circulating water residual-heat utilization project, with which suggestions are gave out.Finally, the paper carrys on the empirical analysis to the investment risk of the circulating water residual-heat utilization project risk in power plant S. Combining qualitative and quantitative analysis method of the project investment risk, financial investment risk analysis, risk the revenue forecast are gave out.
