In electric power industry and chemical industry, SF6 electrical equipments are used more and more. The aging of equipment always causes leakage of SF6 gas, resulting the degradation of equipment insulation performance. Overload, overheating and other safety problems may also come with the long time running of electrical equipments. These risks are not easy to be found, but they will bring great harm. In this study, SF6 gas Infrared Camera TI320+ is designed to detect gas leakage and abnormal temperature of equipments.SF6 gas Infrared Camera TI320+ has three modes: infrared mode, visible light mode and high sensitivity mode. In infrared mode, SF6 gas Infrared Camera TI320+ can accurately measure the temperature within the range of-20 degrees to 500 degrees. It allows users to analysis the temperature of arbitrary points、arbitrary lines and arbitrary areas on the screen. Alarm temperature, alarm color and alarm sound are supported to be preseted. In visible light mode, SF6 gas Infrared Camera TI320+ can image the surrounding clealy, so it’s convenient to locate the target object. In high sensitivity mode, SF6 gas Infrared Camera TI320+ can detect the gas leakage even if the gas leaks at a speed of 1 microlitre per second. SF6 gas Infrared Camera TI320+ will provides a reliable guarantee for the control of safety risk in electric power industry, chemical industry and other areas.This project is strictly in accordance with the requirements of project development to implement SF6 gas Infrared Camera TI320+. It includes feasibility analysis, demand analysis, outline design, detailed design, code realization, function module test and system test. This project is based on TMS320DM6446 platform, which has an ARM core and a DSP core at the same time. The ARM core is responsible for the GUI and device drivers, while the DSP core is responsible for the codec of audio and video. To develop the graphic user interface, MiniGUI, a GUI support system used in embedded systems is adopted.In this project, I am responsible for the video capturing module, the video playing module and the GPS information acquisition module. After researching and designing the hardwares and the softwares of SF6 gas Infrared Camera TI320+ for a long time, the system has been implemented by the project group. Repeated tests show that SF6 gas Infrared Camera TI320+ has perfect functions, stable running state, and it’s convenient to operate. It has good performance.
