In recent years, reinforced concrete shear wall with side frame column is widely applied in high-rise buildings. Domestic and international research institutions and universities have conducted extensive and in-depth studies of common shear wall to analyze their performance, and many research achievements are obtained at last. However, research on reinforced concrete shear wall with side frame column is relatively less conducted. Relevant studies show that the ductility, carrying capacity and energy dissipation capacity of shear wall with side frame column tend to be superior compared with the common shear. Relevant simulation analysis and research on shear wall with side frame column have vital research value and engineering significance.This paper tends to study the seismic behavior of shear wall with side frame column under the assistance of ANSYS software to set up and simulate the finite element modeling of members which include ordinary rectangular section shear wall with boundary column and shear wall with different side frame column. Horizontal monotonic load and cyclic load are exerted to the members. The load-displacement curve and hysteretic curve of the members are drawn. The ductility, carrying capacity and energy dissipation capacity of those members are taken on comparative analysis and research. After analysis, ANSYS software output shows that ordinary rectangular section shear wall has poor ductility and energy dissipation capacity. But carrying capacity and energy dissipation capacity of the members are improved after setting side frame column. At the same time, the ductility and seismic behavior tends to be better. Simultaneously, analysis on shear wall with side frame column after setting side frame beam is also executed. Besides, this paper will also research the influence of side frame beam on the seismic performance of shear wall with side frame column.What’s more, side frame column reinforcement ratio, stirrup ratio, shear span ratio and axial compression ratio of shear wall with side frame column are changed to analyze the impact of those factors on the seismic behavior of the members. The research achievement have certain reference value to the shear wall with side frame column design, which can be used as references for engineering design.
