Beam-arch composite bridge, which is mainly composed of beam, arch and suspender, has the advantages of both beam bridge and arch bridge. It is very competitive among modern bridges whose span is between 60~200 meters, due to its sleek, reasonable structure and easy construction. This paper, with Huaihe Bridge as an engineering background and the popular FEM software-Midas Civil as support, will analyze stress performance of through type continuous steel-box beam-arch composite bridge. The aspects studied are listed as follows:1. This paper describes cooperation mechanic between beam and arch for beam-arch composite bridge and the calculation model of the ratio of load sharing between beam and arch. And then analyzes the structural internal force distribution of through type continuous steel-box beam-arch composite bridge with different rise-span ratio, arch axis and ratio of beam-arch sectional flexural rigidity under the permanent load. Finally, the relationship between static parametric and internal force distribution is obtained.2. This paper summarizes and describes the stability theory. The stability and influencing factors (Including global and local rigidity of arch rib and transverse brace, location of transverse brace) of stability of through type continuous steel-box beam-arch composite bridge is studied and analyzed. Finally, the relationship between local influencing factors and stability of through type continuous steel-box beam-arch composite bridge is obtained.3. This paper describes the theory of structural dynamic calculation. And calculates the natural vibration frequency and vibration of mode and analyzes the differences of natural vibration features when various parameters changes, including rise-span ratio, arch axis, rigidity of beam and three directions of rigidity of transverse brace.
