With the improvement of people’s living standard, the stability of power grid frequency is more and more related to people’s quality of life and the economic benefits of the enterprise. Primary frequency regulation function of the unit plays an important role in guarantee the stability of power grid frequency, so how to improve the control quality of primary frequency regulation function is more and more become the subject of attention. The change of the power grid frequency corresponding to the power plant side means the change of the generator output, and the change of the steam turbine speed. Then, primary frequency regulation control scheme contains two parts: one is through the generator power feedback control, another is through the rotation speed feedback control. In distributed control system and digital electro hydraulic control system have a power control loop and the speed control loopIn this paper, the control scheme using commonly at the present is presented from the angle of the DCS and DEH after introducing the relevant basic knowledge of primary frequency regulation briefly, and analyses the advantages and disadvantages of various options. By analyzing thermal power unit in NingXia ordinary problems in terms of primary frequency control, optimization scheme is given. In the actual operation of the power plant, I found that the main problem existed in DEH side.Aiming at the problems of DEH side, this article from the pressure function, valve flow characteristic curve and the static characteristics of turbine regulating system aspects put forward the optimization scheme. Optimization scheme mainly through experiment method to perform at the scene of the power plant. Experimental data collected through the test and optimize the back pressure curve, flow characteristic curve, testing the turbine delay rate and rotational speed range rate and the solution is also put forward, thereby eliminating the influence of the primary frequency control.Finally with the instance of a power plant in NingXia area, after the completion of back pressure correction, valve flow characteristic curve optimization and static characteristics of turbine regulating system, the primary frequency regulation test was carried out.Test data shows primary frequency regulation function of the unit can completely meet the requirements of a northwest power grid frequency control assessment rules, achieve the goal of our optimization, verify the feasibility and the practicability of the optimization scheme.
