Four-rotor aircraft belongs to multiple rotor helicopter, and its four rotors are cross or X-shaped symmetrical. Comparing with other common aircraft, four-rotor aircraft has the advantages of simple body structure, low cost, high flight stability. Limited by the performance, fixed-wing UAV can complete limited flight movements. But four-rotor aircraft has the features of long hovering, crabbing, inverted features, which makes it have better performance, and can do more missions. As a result of the four-rotor aircraft superior performance, it has become a hot spot of research, and has applied to all walks of life.Firstly, this paper introduces the control system and four-rotor aircraft flight principles, subsequently studies theoretically analysis. In addition, four rotor aircraft aerodynamics model is established. On this basis, it can design the hardware of four-rotor, including the device analysis and selection, and its circuits design. Four-rotor flight control system employ the micro-controller to accomplish data analysis and processing. And using inertial measurement units, magnetic compass, barometer and other sensors to detect posture information. Secondly, it detailed describes software section, flight control parts of flight data collected by sensors for quaternion attitude solver, data fusion and attitude control. Finally, the simulation is used to verify the validity of the algorithm, and semi physical simulation is carried out in a flight simulator. Finally, the experimental results show that the four-rotor aircraft designed in this paper can better meet the design objectives. It can reach a stable flight status and disturbance rejection ability in the air. Flight control system algorithm fully achieve four-rotor aircraft smooth flight control requirements in the interior.
