Evolution of car seat design embodies people’s increasing requirement for the comfort of driving tools. Human body’s feeling towards comfort of setting posture has become a key basis for evaluation of the merits of transport tools.First, the ergonomic comfort of car seat changes along with the study on human body’s needs and the emergence of ergonomic shape shows that car seat develops in the direction of’human-centered’. Then the introduction of ergonomic shape makes it possible for car seat production and manufacture moving in a new research direction. Through descriptions about ergonomic shape and with full correspondence between car seat design and ergonomic shape, the thesis establishes an index for the comfort evaluation of human-machine form of car seat and makes a description in terms of head support, backrest ergonomic structure, lumbar support form and surface structure of the seat. The thesis also carries out research on three kinds of seats in different forms through body pressure distribution test and makes a comparison and related analysis between experimental data and subjective evaluation value. In the process of data mining, it explains the inverse relationship between contact surface area and peak value pressure as well as average pressure and draws a comprehensive conclusion that with the influence of the same material, the same subject feels the setting posture comfort of car seat in such a trend:the seat design is more comfortable with a larger contact area and smaller peak value pressure and average pressure. The thesis puts forward a set of perfect evaluation indexes of ergonomic shape with respect to the issue of car seat, conducts hierarchical classification by using AHP and does a weight calculation for index with fuzzy theory. From the results we can see that people pay more attention to the comfort of the neck and waist in terms of their needs for car seat design form, and the other parts connected to the neck and the waist will hence attract the subjects’attention as well. So we can see that head support, shoulder support and waist support are important factors for comfort evaluation and the weight value is also the highest.In the process of further experimental data mining and processing, the thesis discovers the mechanism concerning the effect of ergonomic shape on comfort. As a key factor in expanding the contact surface of human body with the product, ergonomic shape changes to some extent the physics mechanics characteristics and biomechanical properties between human body and the seat. As a result, it reaches a deduction that car seat with a more obvious ergonomic shape is more comfortable. The results are scientific and reliable to some degree and can provide a reference for the comfort design of car seat in China.
