With aerial photography techniques being in-depth used in farming, weather,reconnaissance and other areas, high-performance aviation cameras are being updatedconstantly. Because the aviation camera performance detection is a crucial step inprocess of manufacture of aviation camera, Aviation camera correspondingperformance testing equipment need to be constantly updated in order to accuratelyextract aviation camera performance parameters and provide a basis for cameramanufacturers. In this context, we design some related components of aviation cameraperformance detection device.Aviation camera performance detection device mainly include the masterplatform, dynamic object generation device, collimator, flight attitude simulator, hightemperature and high airflow environment simulation system. This paper focuses onthe master platform, dynamic object generation device and aviation camera imageevaluation algorithms.The master platform receives feedback data of each device and control eachdevice rely on those data. In the main platform, we should carry out softwareprogramming, a good user interface, test data processing, parameter calculation,imaging performance analysis and so on. Dynamic object generation device, whosemain function is rotating the image and adjusting the light intensity in accordancewith the parameters that the master platform gives, simulates aircraft groundenvironment with collimator. In order to achieve the required control accuracy, thisarticle uses PID control algorithm to control the rotational speed of the image inmeasurement and control system design. When the aviation camera is capturingimages, the imaging system performance will affect the image quality during the timeof shooting, transmission and processing. Therefore, we need to create a good image quality evaluation system for aviation camera imaging performance evaluation. Forthis problem, this paper intends to use the appropriate image evaluation algorithm foraviation camera imaging performance evaluation. The main research content of thispaper is divided into the following aspects:Firstly, this paper studies the structure of the aviation camera performance testingdevice. It briefly describes the design of flight attitude simulator, high temperatureand high airflow environment simulation system and collimator, which are parts ofaviation camera performance testing device.Secondly, based on PXI platform, we have developed a complete set of aviationcamera system performance testing integrated control system software. Based on theconcept development of the virtual instrument, we develop a good human machineinteractive interface by using LabVIEW programming language, and complete aseries of functions such as the hardware controls, data collection, transmission,processing, saving and displaying.Thirdly, the mechanical structure of dynamic target generating device is analyzedand electronic control system is designed, then the calculation of simulate flightenvironment parameters and motor parameters are described. When the dynamictarget generating device is simulating the aircraft flight speed, it uses the motorcontrol exercise to achieve the purpose of rotating the scene image. Based on thecharacteristics of the electronic control system, we use appropriate PID controlmethod, which can achieve the accuracy requirement of the controlled speed.Fourthly, in order to evaluate the performance of aviation camera image, thispaper studies the image evaluation algorithm in this regard. Through extracting staticand dynamic resolution of aviation camera and calculating clarity, signal-to-noiseratio, peak signal-to-noise ratio, mean, variance of the shooting resulting image, wecan carry out aviation camera imaging performance objective evaluation.This paper studies the works of aviation camera performance testing device.Then in the overall system design, we design the master platform, dynamic objectgeneration device and aviation camera image evaluation algorithms. A set of aviationcamera performance detection device ground scene simulation system software is developed using the mixed programming technology of LabVIEW and Matlab. Thesystem, which is with certain practicality, is able to accurately evaluate theperformance of aerial camera.
