The phenomenon of discharge gap widely exists in power system.With therapid development of power grid construction in our country,high voltageinsulation technology on high voltage transmission lines design highlights theextremely important research value. Discharge gap is the main cause oftransmission line fault occurring in the operation process,and one of thetransmission line breakdown between conductor and insulator dischargedirectly affects the safety operation of transmission linesThe Paper rely on DaTong power supply company,focused on the researchof high altitude cold regions under the condition of natural moisture and airdensity of the impact of discharge gap for transmission lines,which,studied bysimulation in the form of the humidity and air density under the condition ofnormal polarity and negative polarity empty into the development process ofdischarge gap For high altitude cold condition to the safe operation oftransmission lines obtained effective predictionThis topic of the specific work content is as follows(1) Through reading lots of literature at home and abroad are understandedthe causes of the discharge gap and the development of process, andemphatically to the discharge gap lingers in the development process arecarried on the detailed study.(2) The gas discharge gap and particle transport equation and thecontinuity of the process of the relationship between the poisson equation, and the discharge gap of empty into the meaning of related parameters in theprocess of development are introduced.(3) Set up the physical model under the condition of air density andhumidity stick, introduce the poisson equation and particle transport equationwith the condition of air density and humidity.Simulated the process ofdischarging development.(4) Through the experiment,the test data and simulation results arecompared, experimental verification of the correctness and through theconcrete data to contrast cathode and anode of discharge gap and theirrespective characteristics and differences.Through the subject project specificresearch obtained the following results.Through the specific research of the project, the results of the followingresults are obtained.(1) In the same plate spacing, under the same external conditions negative gapdischarge inception voltage than the cathode of the discharge gap frominception voltage is on the low side, in the same plate spacing, under the sameexternal conditions of negative polarity discharge gap breakdown voltage thanthe breakdown voltage of the cathode of the discharge gap.(2) The change of humidity and air density did not change the size of the gapbetween the positive rod plate gap discharge and the negative plate gapdischarge.(3) With the decline in air density, followed by decline in the corona onsetvoltage of positive rod plate gap discharge and negative of rod plane gapdischarge, streamer and development difficult.(4) The equipotential line of discharge between Rod-Plate Gap are intensive atthe top of the Streamer,and the equipotential line change with the Streamer run.
