Modern suspension bridge is a large soft and highly non-linear bridge structure of the rope suspension system, because that has the advantages of large spanning capacity and sleek structure, this structure becomes the first choice for long-span bridges. This classic bridge load-bearing components is suspension, boom and the main tower, the main tower bear the full weight of the bridge and vehicles, wind load and other external loads, so its safety is the top of the security of the whole bridges. Earthquake loads, wind loads, the dynamic performance of suspension bridge is one of the structural design of critical control steps.This paper with Lijing-Shangri-La expressway tiger leaping gorge and the Jinsha River bridge as the engineering background builds the establishment of a sound suspension bridge dynamic characteristics analysis of the spatial finite element model. Making use of earthquake resistance theory of suspension bridge, the paper researches with methods of response spectrum and time-procedure analysis. Because the suspension bridge is too long, the paper studies the problem of traveling wave effect; at last, calculating the transformation of the bridge when it is in the E2earthquake and draw some important conclusions.Through this article to the suspension bridge seismic response analysis of the demonstration, the case are implemented that provides the reference of seismic design of suspension bridge, that want to master and understand the seismic response of the bridge designers provides case, at the same time for designers build reasonable seismic system, take effective measures provide a scientific basis. Study of the bridge seismic response of the bridge seismic design theory can be enriched, can also provide the basis for identification of bridge reinforcement, so it has important practical significance.
