The Design Of College Dining Space

Dining space, as one part of the college function space, is frequently used in students daily life. With the continuous development of college construction, all kinds of buildings are emerge in endlessly, their function tend to be diversifying, compounding and humanizing. In this paper, the author acquire the corresponding design method according to researching the relationship between the change of catering environment and group dining of students in colleges, so as to realize both humanization and cultural atmosphere in the dining space environment.Through students’ psychological state of catering space, the author summarizes three design principles of respecting the natural and cultural environment on campus, conforming to the functional diversification and adhering to the "people-oriented". By means of subdividing the function of dining space in colleges, the author obta ins four design concepts about the climate-adaptable energy saving, interactive communication, interoperability between life and entertainment, air-cleaning health. Author utilizes sound, light, material and construction technology reasonably to manifest the humanistic design motif.
