The CRH5 A EMU transmits control, monitoring and fault diagnosis information by the train communication network which runs through all train,the Train Control and Monitoring System(TCMS)can control and monitor the function of all trains and vehicles。The information transmission structure of the for CRH5 A EMU TCMS mainly bases on the Train Communication Network(TCN)standard,it has the serial interface of Wire Wrain Bus(WTB) and Wultifunction Vehicle Bus(MVB),it uses redundant main processing unit(MPU) modules。The two power units are communicating between the power units and the linked train by the gateway。This paper through analysises and summaries the working principle and faultsafety principles of the Train Control and Monitoring System(TCMS)for CRH5 A EMU, it researches the control logic、fault diagnosis strategy and fault disposal methods of the Train Control and Monitoring System(TCMS)。According to the practical application and maintenance of EMU,it proposed feasible methods of maintenance and fault processing method,further enhance information transmission reliability 、stability and fault operation guidance of the Train Control and Monitoring System(TCMS), meanwhile,it simplifies the process of fault procedur, reduces fault finding and handling time, enhances the utilization of EMU overhaul capacity, debases the operating risk and maintenance cost of EMU。It provides security for EMU and ensures the straightway of railway transportation.
