Wind power is a kind of new energy which is clean and renewable, and more attentions are paid to wind turbine’s research. To provide a favorable test environment for wind turbine gearbox fault diagnosis, a set of wind turbine simulation system is built.This thesis establishes a wind model based on Markov chain and a wind turbine model based on G58-850kW’s parameters. Then wind turbine’s control strategy to capture maximum power is studied. Considering wind shear, tower shadow effect and impeller inertia, wind turbine model has been amended. Simulation data of impeller’s speed and torque are obtained from the wind turbine model as motors’ control objectives after cubic spline interpolation.Then a set of wind turbine simulation systems is established, its mechanical system models on the wind turbine structure, including wind speed and impeller analog devices, low-speed spindle loading device, speeding up device, torque monitoring device and motor. This thesis studies the electrical control system’s requirements and designs a reasonable configuration. Software system includes wind speed and wind turbine simulation module, data acquisition module, fault diagnosis module, fault features database and fault prediction module. The mathematical models of wind turbine simulation systems are given to provide theoretical basis for the subsequent wind turbine gearbox’s force analysis, dynamic simulation and vibration simulation.Then induction motor’s vector control technology based on the stator magnetic field is analyzed, the key is how to transform coordinates to divide stator current into torque current and excitation current, which are controlled separately. The two modes of vector inverter technology are discussed, which are speed control mode and torque control mode. Parameter identification and speed ring optimizing of induction motor based on converter are studied. Also, electric closed master-slave dual motor control strategy and electrical control system’s communication architecture are designed.To test the effect of induction motor vector control, several experiments are carried out: no- load speed test, speed test at constant load, time-varying load speed test and constant speed test at various load. The results show good effect of speed control mode. There’s some fluctuation in torque mode due to no feedback. The equivalent conversion between simulation data and motors’ control data is established. The wind turbine’s working condition simulation experiment shows the practicability of the wind turbine simulation system.
