With the advent of LED light source and as the third photoreceptor was discovered, scholars are increasingly paying attention on LED lighting visual effect on the human body. The outstanding advantages of LED light source, which the other sources do not have, promote its application. As the LED have different color temperature,illumination and color, the correct way to use it in the right places is becoming a widespread concern. In this paper, the study mainly introduces visual light adaptation and the relations between non-visual and wavelengths. So it provides some theoretical basis for the practical application of lighting. Experimental main contents and conclusions include:1、 Introduce the background and significance of the human eye’s visual and nonvisual, and the LED lighting develop process, systematically expounded the research status of domestic and international human visual effects. Though experimental study on the LED optical parameters, it provided a theoretical basis for how to correctly apply the LED lighting to improve efficiency in real life.2、 Dentally describe the three photoreceptor cells in the human eye, and two visual and non-visual pathways. According to current scientific research on the visual and non-visual characteristics, we cite various factors that influence vision systems and non-visual system.3、 Study the effects of different lighting conditions on human visual system. First, Study on the four kinds different colors fluorescent lamps and three kinds different color temperature white LED.The study shows that, dark adaptation time difference between red fluorescent and warm white LED is only one second. Secondly, using lower three warm white color temperature LED(1830K, 2495 K, 2895K), the result indicates 1830 K LED lighting will also reduce the body’s dark adaptation time. However, due to the lower temperature, the light color becomes orange-red, the visual task will be to some extent effected. Finally, discriminate 15 kinds of color objects in 8 different colors lighting, an average identify correct rate should be: 2895K> Blue LED + White> Red LED + White> 2495K> 1830K> Blue LED> Red Incandescent> Red LED.4、 Study different wavelengths of LED lighting, that effects on human non-visual. Three different wavelength of blue LEDs were experimented, which exactly effects on the human non-visual. Specifically, the index of mental work, working speed, pulse, heart rate, fatigue index were recorded as experiment data. The data was different when the wavelength charged, which indicate that subjects in 468 nm blue LED lighting, having the maximum operating efficiency and the maximum pulse fluctuations, difficulty to feel tired beside. However, in 453 nm blue LED lighting, it is just on the contrary.
