The issue of the safety of driving on the frozen road is a big problem which need to be solved urgently, how to suppress the road of scientific and effective freezing, got a lot of attention from all walks of life. Self-snowmelt asphalt pavement is a new type asphalt pavement which add snowmelt salt into bituminous mixture replace part or total of the mineral powder or directly. The salt in the asphalt mixture due to capillary action and the vehicle rolling slowly released to reduce the surface of road the freezing point of water, inhibiting the roads from accumulating snow and freezing ice, so as to achieve the effect of self-snowmelt.This paper selects MFL and V-260 from snowmelt salt to finish the research, adopt Marshall design method to determine the bitumen mixture proportioning, MFL utilization method of volume replacement powder added to asphalt mixture, and V-260 be added into the asphalt mixture directly according to a certain proportion. Through comparing the result of natural immersion of the Marshall test which contain the effective component and porosity changes, and adding salt without controlled-release treatment, finally determine the optimal dosage of two kinds of snow melting salt respectively. From the point of the asphalt-mortar, through the BBR and DSR test, study its high and low temperature rheological properties. And paper study to road use performance of asphalt mixture, the short-term effect and long-term effect of snowmelt of self-snowmelt asphalt pavement. By the chloride ion release test for a long period of time, establish regression model to estimate effective use fixed number of year.
