To solve the problem of the volatility and intermittent of new energy generation systems’output, meshed grids with higher reliability and greater alternate rate is used in power collection grids of new energy generation system in this paper, considering the successful operation experience abroad of the low-voltage meshed grids, and the relationship bewteen new energy power networks and the load is enhanced.The outage rate model of meshed gird is established, and the outage rate evaluation index of meshed and radial power collection grids are calculated in this paper. The outage simulation models of the two power collection grids are built on MATLAB/Simulink software platform, and the current and voltage level of collecting bus before and after the fault being cut off in the two grids are analyzed. The results show that the equivalent EENS of radial power collection grid is 4.6 times as much as that of meshed power collection grid, so meshed power collection grid is better at collecting power and smoothly sending out power.Furthermore, the evaluation model of power collection scale for meshed power collection grids is established in terms of electricity revenue and cable costs, and the optimization algorithm of power collection schemes for meshed grids is provided based on genetic algorithms, and the optimized scheme is gained using typical data of new energy generaton systems. The results show that power collection scale with seven transverse units and seven vertical units has great income, symmetry wiring and great collection capacity, and the effectiveness and reliability of evaluation model and optimization algorithm is proved.Finally, the scheme of combining meshed power collection grid which has high reliability and great power collection capacity with Wind-PV-ES Hybrid Power System is proposed in this paper, to solve the problem of the volatility and intermittent of new energy generation systems’output. The applicability of the meshed power collection grids is demonstrated from the perspectate of great invulnerability and saving land, and three operation modes are creatively proposed which are wind mastering operation mode, PV mastering operation mode and Wind-PV mastering operating mode, and the time schedules of operation modes and charging and discharging of energy storage unit are given, to provide basic research to meshed power collection grids’application in Wind-PV-ES Hybrid Power System.
