Currently, most joint connection of wood shell structure is so-called rigidity or semi-rigidity joints connection and the research and knowledge on energy-consuming and seismic mitigation is inefficiency; moreover, the difficult and stress point of design and performance research on wood net shell structure is its note connecting format. So to determine the laminwood net shell joint connection as the study object of this paper, energy dissipation and seismic mitigation design of joint connection and the research on its mechanical performance so that this study will have a certain research significant and engineering value.A new wood reticulated shell which with dual type double tapered mild steel joint energy consumption has been design proposed finally based on special structure style and bearing characteristic of K6(Kewitte) laminwood reticulated shell. From this paper, setting a wood structure reticulated shell which with a 50 m span and a structure style of K6 single-layer reticulated dome; its gluing wooden pole is rectangular section, and the height-span radios of this reticulated shell is 1/4, what is more, the connecting format of its joint is adopted new type energy consumption joint.To establish an elaborated finite element model of energy-dissipation joint by taking advantage of finite element software(ABAQUS) and to do a connecting mechanical performance finite element analysis for this joint. To analysis its mechanical performance by extracting related hysteretic curve, skeleton curve and stress distribution; and then also to do a numeric analysis for this energy-consuming joint based on calculated energy-consuming coefficient, ductility factor and dissipated energy and so on.The results show that: the new type of energy dissipation damping capacity of a node is the node energy consumption is strong, reasonable structure, the energy dissipation effect is more significant connection.For a further study on mechanical performance of double cone joint energy consumption,to do parametric analysis for energy-consuming joints by designing three groups difference joints to create parameters. This includes biconical number、cone diameter and the thickness of up & down connecting steel plate. The results of parametric analysis shows that: theinfluence of the three different groups of nodes connected structure combination of energy dissipation joints, eventually forming a group of the best connection structure.To establish a single-deck spherical timber work shell finite element model by using software SAP2000, to get self-vibration characteristics of reticulated shell construction and to analysis dynamic property of reticulated shell according to earthquake action response spectrum under energy-consuming joint working mechanism; to do a further comparison on the function and influence of so-called rigid joint and new energy-consuming joint connecting reticulated shell.
