In recent years, as our country’s urbanization advancement has been speeding up unceasingly, the extreme heavy rain happens frequently and drainage system is relatively lagging behind urbanization and city construction, urban waterlogging disasters occurred continually. Waterlogging disasters not only caused huge economic loss to the country, but also become a direct threat to people’s life safety. Therefore,to carry out the study of urban waterlogging disasters is a matter to national economy and people’s livelihood event.This paper adopts the hydraulic modeling software called Info Works CS and is based on the drainage system within D river valley of G city to conduct studies of urban waterlogging. Using the model simulation results to analyze the waterlogging reasons for this valley and putting forward the relative improvement measures to manage urban waterlogging.First of all, this article summarizes the research progress and application status of urban waterlogging models at home and abroad, establishes research content and puts forward the corresponding technical route. At the same time,this article also introduces the function and characteristics of Info Works CS and its main principle of simulating urban waterlogging.Secondly, the hydraulic model of drainage system within D river valley of G city is established by the software platform of Info Works CS. Its main contents include:importing the drainage system of the modeling scope, dividing the catchment areas, setting the parameters of model,monitoring the flow、velocity、level of the key monitor points and calibrating the hydraulic model.Finally, the calibrated hydraulic model of D river valley of G city is used to study the urban waterlogging of this valley. The dry-day simulated results of hydraulic model show that:the length of the overloaded main drain-pipes within this valley is 4.2 kilometer in the dry-day simulation, it account for 16.5% in the whole main drain-pipes. The main reason of overloaded main drain-pipes to the east of D river and to the south of Xinhepu river is the Jacking of downstream water level. The simulated results of the rainy-day under the different return period indicate that: the return period of drainage system within D river valley less than 1 year, the flood risk of this valley is pretty higher. Synthesizing the simulated results of dry-day and rainy-day, the reasons of waterlogging within D river of G city include:the higher ground hardening rate, the lower construction standard of drainage system and the Jacking of downstream water level. In the meantime,this article also put forward the waterlogging reform measures which include the non-engineering measures and engineering measures, using the hydraulic model to evaluate the Waterlogging prevention plans of D river valley and simulated results of hydraulic model show that: when using single measure to reform waterlogging, engineering measures effect is superior to the effect of non-engineering measures, Porous brick paving has the best effect among engineering measures effect. Compared with the single kind of waterlogging reformation measures, when adopting comprehensive measures to reform waterlogging,the higher rainfall return period, the better effect.
