Sediment problems mostly are erosion, transport and deposition. These problems can lead to soil erosion, river pollution and water shortages and other problems. Uthman reaches of the Tar river basin mostly suspended sediment, sediment transport can lead to riverbed changes significantly in flood. Because of the past years of large amount of sediment deposition, the sediment movement is very complicated. Almost all of the waer flow from Tar river main channel to the downstream, this lead to Uthman estuary is no water diversion. This paper adopts numerical simulation method combines prototype observational data in flood flow and sediment erosion and movement to analysisi and study. The conclusions of the study are as follows:(1) By prototype observation, got in June 2005 to October about Uthman reaches of Tar river basin prototype observation data. There are daily traffic in Uthman reaches of the Tar river basin, sediment concentration, sediment transport rate were observed tables, W2 and W5 typical sections bathymetry map and along the rivers water level elevation observation table.(2) The water and sediment movement in flood about Uthman reaches of the Tar river basin was simulated by CCHE turbulence model. By comparing the prototype observation results with the numerical simulation to determine the model parameters, establish the flat two-dimensional mathematical model that suitable the Uthman reach and validate it again. The comparing results agree well, which verifies the reliability of the model.(3) Establish the water and sediment movement flat two-dimensional mathematical model in Uthman reach of the Rar river basin flood can predict the sediment depositon in the case before the flood season, well in advance of the related work, which for the flood control and disaster mitigation and reasonable operation of river control project and engineering design provide the reference.
