Variable flow air-conditioning system has obvious advantages in energy efficiency in buildings. This paper compare the energy consumption of variable flow water system of air-conditioning to constant flow water system of air-conditioning of an office building in Chengdu by simulation calculation. Meanwhile, this paper analyzes and compares the energy consumption of air-conditioning and electric light of the office building taking account of the natural light or not.In this building, the floor area is 181,392.7 square meters and the air-conditioning area is130, 399.11 square meters. Using the Software DeST simulate and analyze the whole year energy consumption of variable flow water system of air-conditioning and constant flow water system of air-conditioning of this building in nature light. The results show that the annual power consumption and electricity costs of variable flow air-conditioning water system are 32.21kWh/m2 and19.97RMB/m2. The annual power consumption and electricity costs of constant flow air-conditioning water system are 36.58kWh/m2 and 22.48RMB/m2. Taking no account of the nature lighting, the annual power consumption and electricity costs of variable flow air-conditioning water system are 28.71kWh/m2 and 18.38 RMB,the annual power consumption and electricity costs of constant flow air-conditioning water system are 32.61 k Wh/m2 and20.66RMB/m2. Conclusion:no matter whether we take account of nature lighting or not, variable flow air-conditioning water system is more energy-efficient than constant flow air-conditioning water system.Using the Software DeST simulate and analyze the lighting energy consumption of this building. The results showed that taking no account of the nature light, the annual power consumption and electricity costs are 121.54 kWh/m2 and 63.49 RMB/m2, and taking account of the nature light, the annual power consumption and electricity costs are 104.57 kWh/m2 and 54.62 RMB/m2. Finally, selecting the actual operation data of energy-saving projects verify that variable flow air conditioning system is more energy efficient.At the same time, the experiment of the sample room, in order to get the relevant data verify that the consideration of natural light lighting is more energy saving.The conjoint analysis the energy consumption of air-conditioning and electric light show that taking account of nature light and the variable flow air-conditioning, the total energy consumption more lower and the total operation cost less of the office building.
