A new permanent mechanism —Cycloid Permanent Magnetic Gear(CPMG) is presented in this paper, it is similar with cycloid mechanical gear, and a very high gearing ratio can be realized.As more pole pair numbers of the CPMG are engaged in transferring torque, and it has only a layer of air gap, so the loss of magnetic field is very low, and torque density can be more than 180kNm/m3, it has prospect of popularization and application.Domestic and foreign development history and research progress of CPMG is firstly presented in this thesis, and its structure is expounded based on cycloid mechanical gear, the working principle of three different structure is also illustrated, at the same time, theoretical analysis of air-gap magnetic field and torque of CPMG is proceed, which is based on theory of electromagnetic field by using vector magnetic potential polar coordinates and theory of electromagnetic field.Calculation method of model parameters is presented basing on operation mechanism of CPMG and design requirements, which can be used to preliminary design its key structure parameters. Also, according to selected model parameters, electromagnetic field simulation model is established by using Ansoft finite element simulation software, and a comparison is made with theoretical results of air-gap magnetic field and torque.Internal configuration and structural parameters of CPMG are very numerous. What’s more, magnetic circuit is complex. Because of these, relationship between selected model parameters and its torque is analyzed one by one by using Ansoft. Aiming at designed model parameters, optimization is held, suitable equivalent model is established by further analyzing its operation principle. Speed and torque curves of both stable operation and overload protection for optimized model is deeply analyzed, and analysis and calculation of its eddy current is carried on.Stress analysis of permanent magnet rotor of built CPMG model is conducted from perspective of mechanical properties by eliminating radial constraint of inner rotor, and theoretical model of tangential and normal torque is deduced. In order to determine unknown parameters in calculation formula, its internal structure size is further calculated, and comparison analysis between theoretical calculation of torque and simulation results is made, and then, basic structure parameters of CPMG are determined.
