In recent years, nuclear power has developed rapidly and the installed capacity of nuclear power units has been continuously increasing.The ensuing nuclear safety problem gets people’s attentions.Feed water pump is an important part of feed water system and is one of the major power equipments of Second Circuit.Feed water pump can supply water from the deaerator to the steam generator.Feed water pump makes use of a single-stage double-suction centrifugal pump with stable operation and high efficiency.The abnormal vibration of feed water pump not only makes a big noise but also affects the normal operation, which has an impact on the safety of nuclear power plant. ANSYS software is a powerful finite element analysis software.Modal analysis and harmonic analysis of dynamic analysis method are important methods to study the vibration of pump.Feed water pump is mainly composed of pump casing, pump cover, impeller and shaft. Based on feed water pump of a million-megawatt nuclear power plant, feed water pump model is established by Pro/E software and is analyzed by ANSYS analysis software. Specific contents are listed follows:(1) The development of nuclear power and the significance of the vibration of pump are researched.(2)The main causes of vibration and vibration solutions of pump are described and the basic ideas of ANSYS analysis and fundamental analysis steps are introduced.(3)Various parts models of feed water pump are built and assembled by Pro/E software.Interference inspection will be tested. Then the model is saved as IGS format for analysis of ANSYS software if there is no problem.(4) Modals of feed water pump are analyzed.The model of rotor, pump and pump cover and feed water pump are imported into ANSYS software and redefine the assembly relationship between the various parts.Then boundary conditions are defined and the model is analyzed.Then the natural frequencies and mode shapes of feed water pump are known.Modal analysis laid a solid foundation for future analysis.(5)The analysis of Harmonic response of feed water pump.The self-excited vibration of the pump is one of the vibrations of pump running and is periodic vibration.The paper analyzes the harmonic response of the pump under self-excited vibration.Shut-off valve will cause internal pressure pulsation and it is cyclical.The paper analyzes the harmonic response under pressure pulsation.
