With the popularity of subway in the major cities, deep foundation pit expands from the suburbs to the downtown districts gradually. The safety in the progress of deep foundation pit gets more and more attention. The impact on the surrounding strata during the excavation of deep foundation has become one of the hotspots. Improper construction process will cause extensive surface settlement and fracture of surrounding buildings, which affect the aesthetics even cause irreversible damage of the building structure. Therefore the research on surface settlement, building settlement and deformation of the retaining piles in the progress of subway deep foundation pit in Hefei city is urgently needed. In this paper, the main work and conclusions are as follows:(1) Summarize and analyze the domestic and foreign development and current research status of deep foundation pit, introduce with emphasis the three development stages of deep foundation pit in China. Expound the importance of field monitoring of the construction process of deep foundation pit.(2) Introduce the deformation mechanism and Retaining structure of deep foundation pit. Simply introduce the control measures of deformation of deep foundation pit.(3) This paper is set in Taihu Road Station of Metro Line 1. Based on Long-term monitoring data of the scene, get the deformation law of the retaining piles, surrounding surface settlement and Ma’anshan Road Substation around the foundation pit through arranging and analyzing. The research results can provide reference for the future line of Subway Engineering of Hefei city.(4) Set in the surroundings of Ma’anshan Road Substation, construct FLAC3D numerical model. Through theoretical mechanical calculation analyze the deformation law of retaining piles, surface settlement and buildings. Understand the difference between the theory and the actual through comparing with the actual monitoring data.
