With the excellent performance of light, strong anticorrosion and fatigue resistance as well as easy construction, FRP has been widely used in concrete reinforce area. However, the current research on aspect forms of FRP confined concrete column is mostly based on the circular column, and little on the square or rectangle column. And FRP type is mainly CFRP, less experimental study for BFRP confined concrete columns.Firstly, to carry out the basalt fiber unidirection cloth used for test mechanical performance experiment, and according to the test structure, calculate tensile strength and modulus of elasticity of BFRP.Then according to the experimental steps, carry out the axial compression experiments of 12 specimens to simulate the axial compression properties of FRP confined concrete under the action of load, and according to the data from tests, draw the stress-strain relationship curves of the specimens;from the layer number of constraints and the degree of the load, analyze the relationship between compressive strength and strain of the specimens. The experimental results show that:by BFRP constraints can effectively improve the strength and ductility of the concrete columns. The greater the constraint layer, the clearer of the strength effect; the load level affect the compressive strength of the concrete which confined by BFRP. In the same situation, as the load level improved, the compressive strength of the concrete which confined by BFRP is reduce; when the load level change from 0 to 0.9, the drop of ultimate stress about the test specimen which confined by a layer of BFRP is less than the test specimen which confined by two layers of BFRP.Based on the ANSYS, the BFRP confined square and rectangular concrete column has numerically simulated in depth study of BFRP confined concrete column axial compression properties. And compared with the test results, research shows that, selecting the appropriate Finite Element Model, can be used to simulate the axial compression properties of FRP confined concrete under the action of load.
