The seawall is the main water retaning structure with the intention of withstanding storm surge and seawater intrusion.The running state of seawall body is directly related to the security of people’s life, property and city construction.In recent years,with the development of national economy and the needs of coastal reclamation,building the seawall and bank revetment has become an important means of economic development in coastal cities.Practice has proved that more than 60% of the dam slope instability destruction are caused by seepage.At present,the study of seepage law often tends to focus on the seepage analysis of inland river dam,but the research on the seawall seepage rule is comparatively less and usually doesn’t consider the mutual coupling effect of seepage field and stress field,it differs the actual operating conditions of seawall.Besides, the steady water level of seawall isn’t existent because of the changing and cyclically fluctuating tide level effect,which makes the inland river seepage law should not be directly applied to the seawall.Therefore,to proceed the analysis of seawall seepage field and stress field under the influence of tide level is of great significance for further research of seawall seepage rule,accurately grasping the running state and ensuring the safe operation of the seawall.Firstly,it is elaborated the basic theory of finite element method of seawall seepage field and stress field coupling analysis,and its iteration steps under the influence of unsteady water level is also analyzed and discussed on the basis of former research achievements.Then the arcticle took large-scale general finite element software ANSYS as the platform, applying parametric programming language APDL to write two field coupling calculation procedure.Then selected a section of Shanghai Pudong New Area seawall as an example to make seepage field-stress field coupling calculations under the influence of tide level, and compared with the measured osmotic pressure data to test the reliability of the program and the calculation method.The regularities of seawall body osmotic pressure and the influence of main parameters when the tide level cyclically fluctuates had been studied. Selected one typical process of tide level rapid fluctuations to research the characteristic of seepage free surface.Finally,analyzed the characteristic of seepage flow of seawall section and the stress field variation when tide level rapidly fluctuates based on coupling or not.The results indicated that considering the seawall seepage field and stress field coupling is more closer to the engineering practice under the influence of tide level.In this article,the methods and conclusions of seawall seepage field-stress field coupling which considering the changing tide level impact provide an effective way to further grasp the change rules of seawall body status and guarantee the safe operation.
