As the result of the rapid development of the society and economy, electric power has become an indispensable part in our daily lives. Nowadays, more and more high-powered household appliances have entered people’s homes. However, people’s lacking awareness of saving energy makes the problems of energy waste and environmental pollution more severe. Meanwhile, traditional service mode of power consumption cannot satisfy the customer’s personalized demands. Therefore, in this paper, we researched and designed the smart power-consumption service system to provide users proper, intelligent and scientific service. In this way, we can both improve energy efficiency and meet the user’s demand of an economical and convenient life.Firstly, we study the background and significance of the smart grid user service system. A detailed research has been made on the research status and development trends of the system. Secondly, we introduce the system’s objective-meet the users’ needs of intelligent control, energy efficiency analysis and exhibition of household power consumption. And we perform a requirement analysis on the system functions based on the diversified and personalized demand of smart power-consumption service. Aiming at different functions, we divide the system into three subsystems-smart home system, home energy efficiency analysis system and smart power consumption system, and make further divisions for them. Later, we make an overall design of the system including the logical and physical structures based on previous requirement analysis. And the system’s detailed functions and database are designed. Then, we develop the system using Eclipse and Android components basing on Linux operating system. Some of the functions such as device view, timer control, auto control, power analysis and reminder has been realized. In the last part, we run some testing on the functions. It shows that the system can operate on a normal and stable level.
