With the coordinated development of computer science and geography resource sharing, China’s State Grid entered the intelligent management model. However, with the business of deepening the application of GIS needs urgent need to GIS grid resource management and visual analysis; and smart grid made, transmission, distribution, use, scheduling the fusion of the six aspects of the business, so that information sharing also put forward higher requirements for GIS; for the expansion of the integration platform to enhance the support of the information on the grid resource space. To this end, a higher demand for smart grid information technology, GIS space technology effectively integrated into the grid spatial information service platform system has become particularly important in order to achieve fast, efficient, accurate modern grid intelligent systems.Based on the power grid business needs of grid space information service system in sichuan province, in depth analysis of the application functions and technical requirements of the system platform, on the basis of this puted forward the overall design framework and relevant requirements of the system. Studied deeply and designed suitable for the province’s power grid GIS spatial information service platform system, an effective solution to the grid resource management and smart grid business integration and grid system integration platform for expansion, so that the province’s national grid system has been optimized, so that work efficiency has been substantially enhanced. This paper based on the system application function, detailedly introduced the realization process of each function module and key technologies of the platform, shown the running effect of the function modules in the system, and tested the system according to the various need index, the test results show that the power grid GIS platform would be able to complete successfully, can effectively improve the maintenance of power grid and comprehensive utilization.
