Line loss rate is an important technical indicator of the management level of power supply companies. It could not only reflect the operational and managing level of current power grid, but also analyze the technical situation of power grid. It seems that line loss management is one of significant methods to reduce line loss rate, which is of great importance to the improvement of economic benefits in power supply companies.Since the existing line loss management systems and related application systems are based on different development technologies and from different manufacturers, the information consistency and synchronization are relatively weak and line loss management object modelling is not based on the unified standard, which could lead to the poor interoperability and workflow of the system. As a result, the line loss management effectiveness would be severely affected. The study of distribution network line loss management system based on SOA is of significance in improving the interoperability of line loss management system.Aiming at distribution network line loss management processes and objects, this thesis uses the unified model and SOA to solve the problem of data exchange among systems. The main contents include:(1) Line loss management process, the involved objects and its workflow are introduced and modeled, through field research as well as reading literature.(2) Features, the architecture and relevant theories of SOA are analysed. Besides, distribution network line loss management system based on SOA,which is aimed at data source and feature extraction of the system, is designed.(3) The distribution network line loss management system based on SOA is almost achieved. The data between systems could interact through Web Service and publishers would publish their WSDL to the service registry and service invokers only need to find relevant appropriate WSDL interfaces and biddings to access this service without understanding details of internal implementation within systems.This system can be completely decoupled in time, space as well as control flow, so it is very suitable for line loss management application system where information is exchanged frequently and dynamic is strong. The distribution network line loss management system based on SOA has many advantages including multipoint,asynchronous communication, strong commonality, maintainability and could achieveinteroperability between line loss management system and other systems. So, it can improve the efficiency and the level of line loss management.
