With the environmental problems like exhausting of fossil fuels and global warming have become extremely serious, the priority development and utilization of wind energy, solar energy and other renewable energy sources is great significance for changing energy structure, improving energy efficiency and guaranteeing energy security of China. Substation uses large electricity for itself, there is not a small number for all substations using electricity for themselves in one provincial grid, so formation of wind-solar storage micro-grid system in the substation will fully utilize the renewable energy, which is not only to reduce the electricity consumption rate for substation, but also help the station using load to improve the reliability of power supply.This article focuses on the micro grid technology for researching and solving a series of technical problems in power using system applications of substation, through starting position to study the micro grid access conditions for the micro grid technology in the role using power systems of substation, functional structures and systems technical issues such as the article of configuration and operation, finally through the micro-grid technology applications result in new 500kV substation power system engineering station to verify the practical significance and practical value micro grid technology research.
