Short-Lamb Couple-Steel-Plates Shear-Wall(SLSCSW) Structure has good ductility and excellent seismic energy dissipation. This kind of structure system has the general characters of coupled shear-wall, it also has its unique advantages:(1) It can satisfied the architectural designers’ creative horizontal layout;(2) Its Anti-side stiffness is lower than the normal one, which brings a smaller seismic reaction and better stretchability. This paper designs a span two and a half layers specimen of SLSCSW structure with 1/3 scale specimens testing on hysteretic behavior under cyclic loading. Through the experimental system to study the structure of the failure mode, hysteretic behavior, stiffness degradation, bearing capacity and energy dissipation capacity of seismic performance degradation. The results show that: Firstly, the test specimen break like a projecting beam; Secondly, specimen consumption of bottom deformation small, less energy consumption, two layers of lateral displacement of the large energy consumption are large; Last but not least, the conformation of the free side of the short-lamb-shear-wall show great influence to the bearing-capacity of the whole structure.ABAQUS was used to contrast experiment results verify the validity of the model, further analysis the seismic performance with varied span-thickness ratio(STR) and depth-span ratio(DSR). The finite element simulation results presents some engineering aseismic structural suggestions as follows:(1)The inside concrete has just support the out-plane constraint. So during the design of this structure, when the DSR>3, we can choose the smaller STR;(2)The depth-span ratio shows great interaction to the seismic performance of structures, just like the common shear-wall.(3)The increase of bearing-capacity caused by the increase of the thickness of steel-plate exist limit.
