Cylinder automobile engine parts, which constitutes the main frame of the engine. The engine is one of the core parts of automobiles, and also power source of the automobiles. It is like a human skeleton, reinforced concrete buildings, through the engine block of the various agencies, such as the crank linkage(including pistons, connecting rods, crankshaft, and other parts) and Air Supply(including intake and exhaust valves, valve springs, etc.) as well as fuel supply, fuel injection, cooling and other institutions connected as a whole, so as to constitute a complete car engine. And automotive engine cylinder coating is an important part of the engine assembly. The cylinder block is the foundation of the engine parts, through which the crank connecting rod mechanism of engine(including piston, connecting rod, crankshaft, flywheel and other parts) and gas distribution agencies(including the cylinder head, camshaft etc.) and fuel, lubricating, cooling mechanism are connected into a whole. Automobile cylinder RTV is an important link of automobile powertrain assembly.The quality cylinder RTV directly affect the quality of the engine block assembly. The machine vision to detect the engine block RTV have high-speed, accurate, specific and stable, it will greatly improve the production efficiency of the engine block assembly. Design and implementation of the papers on the Ford engine block RTV machine vision detection system. This work is a machine-vision technology used in the automotive industry in the new attempt, and is very valuable:The main contents of this thesis are as follows:1. Select the appropriate testing requirements based on light source, optical lens, CCD sensor, image acquisition card, industrial PC hardware.2. The use of machine vision software to analyze images acquired and developed in accordance with the testing requirements of secondary cylinder testing machine vision software and hardware combination to make it possible to accurately detect the width of the engine block RTV, the overall offset, and determine whether the subject within the tolerance range claims.3. The on-line testing, visual software algorithms and parameters to be optimized.4. Complete the entire detection system and external PLC and PC communication. Ensure that the camera can get a trigger signal and detecte PLC’s signal be fedback to the PLC, and the overall value of the width of the offset gum line can accurately convey the PC to save.The innovation of this thesis is the use of machine vision technology of Cognex Vision Development Module offset and recognition in the engine block off the RTV RTV image acquisition, analysis of the characteristics of the engine block RTV, test results and image information the management has made four effective progress, completed the Ford engine block RTV image processing design. At present, the system detects the accuracy can reach more than 99%, the processing time of 0.5~0.8 seconds/units for efficient test Ford engine block rubberized case made effective new method...
