Automatic identification system(AIS) is governed by the International Maritime Organization(IMO), international aid to navigation and navigation Association(IALA) and the International Telecommunication Union(ITU-R) proposed by the common technical standards, can be used for ship collision avoidance, water intelligent traffic management and surveillance of the sea areas and other fields. The appearance of AIS brings new ideas into the traditional navigation and maritime management, make navigation and maritime management has experienced two significant changes: first, from the perspective of transportation management, ship side from the passive to accept the supervision and management of the original, into active participation in the management of the situation; second, from the perspective of maritime administration, the maritime administrative departments from the original to the supervision and management of the main, the status quo increasingly became the main to the ship to provide navigational safety information service. The application of AIS to form the active participation of ships maritime traffic management and the maritime administrative department to provide navigation service equally important aspect for the ship, its development in recent years, attention all over the world, in Europe and the United States have been widely used in China and Southeast Asia, is also in the promotion of the installation stage.AIS navigation system is composed of AIS navigation, AIS base station, regional management center and the remote management terminal and other components, the system in the original visual navigation based on optical lamp group, increased AIS transceiver, radio virtual beacon function. To solve the disadvantages of the traditional optical navigation mark can not effectively identification, in bad weather the difficult management, the realization of network communication, monitoring and control of AIDS to navigation system through the AIS digital navigation, has the advantages of automation, informationization, intelligent and efficient, reliable.As an important component of the AIS network, AIS digital navigation transceiver is done channel position calibration and information telemetering and remote control node device. Therefore, it has very important engineering value to design and research of AIS navigation transceiver, especially the software to optimize the design of the transceiver, AIS navigation system is related to whether the stable work, is the key technology of intelligent, automated measurement system.This thesis studies AIS navigation transceiver design and software optimization technology, firstly the structure, function, working mode and the limitation of application introduces AIS digital navigation system; then based on the AIS communication technology, summarizes the digital navigation mark working process; then gives the transceiver hardware composition, function, design process and focuses on the research of comprehensive optimization the unit control interface software and information processing software; finally, with the help of the monitoring center operating platform of various functions of AIS navigation software verification. The AIS system has been carried out on trial in maritime safety administration, the effect is good.
