In recent years, more and more people focus on the safety of the vehicle. In order to ensure that the tire is in the right working condition during driving, tire pressure monitoring system(TPMS) emerges as the times require. This system is intended to measure the tire pressure, and it can provide early warning to the driver of the tire abnormal conditions. This system ensures the safety of life and property of driver and passenger.However, this system faces many limitations. Especially due to the need to make the system to be mounted on wheels, the requirements of design are conformal, low-profile and small size. Therefore the design has many challenges. As the circuit can be integrated today, the design of the antenna module is directly related to the volume size of the whole system. Only by effectively reducing the size of the antenna, we can reduce the volume of TPMS system effectively. So it can be said that the key design of TPMS system miniaturization is the antenna design.This thesis bases on the previous research work and it puts forward a new design of TPMS antenna. This design has the advantage of low profile, easy processing compared with former designs.This thesis contains the main contents as followed:Firstly the thesis elaborates the domestic and foreign status and development prospect of research and application of TPMS system, and then this thesis introduces some elementary knowledge of the TPMS system.Then it is followed by the difficulty of TPMS antenna design. In order to overcome the main difficulties, this thesis discusses the types of common TPMS antenna designs and it also talks about the realization of low-profile antennas.After discussing a TPMS antenna based on magnetic flux, we find the far field pattern matches the need through a numerical calculation. Further based on eigenmode method this thesis introduces an antenna design process. By designing an ultra wide-band antenna this thesis verifies the feasibility of this process.Based on the eigenmode method, this thesis designs the TPMS antenna radiation structure matching the demand of the resonant frequency. Through the discussion of the different feed structures of the antenna, this thesis offers a feed structure to broaden the antenna bandwidth. The design of the antenna matches with the TPMS antenna design requirements.At the end of the research, the antenna is measured. By measuring, it find that this design can well meet the design requirements of TPMS antenna.
