With the extension of the city scale in our country and the prevalence of the automobile, the vehicle safety has been focused in modern time. The tire plays great effect on the stability, safety, and the oil consumption of the automobile. TPMS, namely Tire Pressure Monitoring System, is mainly used to monitor the tire pressure and temperature in real time. When the system is abnormal, it will send the alarm signal to make sure the safety of drivers and passengers.In this paper, there exists much work to improve and ameliorate the automobile tire pressure monitoring system which is based on the Atmel radio frequency CMOS chip. In the original system, there are many problems such as the communication distance between the tire module and the central monitoring module is too close, the eradiating power of the UHF transceiver is not enough, the error rate is too high and the data information is lost in high frequency and so on. Some feasible projects are put forward to solve the above problems.In order to improve the reliability of the RF communication, first of all, the paper adopts the CRC error–control arithmetic, and do some amelioration to reduce the program memory. At the same time, the arithmetic is also can increase the error-check rate and decrease the error-code rate to make sure the data which received from the tire module by the central monitoring module can show the actual tire situation. Secondly, the article begins with changing the original chip and selects a new type of chip, MAX1479, which has more emission power, constitutes a new communication protocol, and designs the circuit and program. In the end, this article analyses the influence of environment on the antenna. Meanwhile, it also analyses characteristic of the antenna by using electromagnetic theory, and then designs a kind of inverted-F antenna. This antenna has been simulated in HFSS and CST.It is proved that what has been done in this paper is instructive to improve the stability of the TPMS.
