With the improvement of the social development and people’s living standards, the electric bicycle has been gradually household. Currently, the electric bicycle theft has become a serious social problem,and the traditional sound and light alarm modem can not meet the increasingly high demand for the residents at this stage. Therefore, the design of a real-time vehicle location recording modem which once man moving vehicle occurred can notify the user is with high scientific value and significant economic benefits.This design of a low-cost electric bicycle anti-theft module can be real-time monitoring the electric bicycles when shock occurs, and then,notify users real-time vehicle location.Firstly, the main function for the system were introduced, followed by the overall architecture of the system hardware and software,and then give the solution of Spreadtrum SC6500 D chip GSM-based communication module,u-blox U-BLOX7020 chip-based GPS positioning module as well as the STC 12L5 A series MCU for the central control unit, and each module is part of the design of hardware and software. Among them, for GSM communication module, mainly discussed the baseband circuit design, RF transceiver circuit design and external interface circuit design, and then,RF parameter calibration and part of the control procedures set forth in details; for GPS positioning module, mainly discussed its low noise amplifier design, the receiver matching circuit design and frequency source circuit design, and discussed the process of debugging the low noise amplifier, the matching circuit and the control program; design of the sensor module, the central control unit and a power management unit for part of the circuit have also been described. Finally, low-cost electric bicycle tracking module designed for this project has been repeatedly tested,results show that once the vehicle is involved artificially move, the module can notify the theft.
