With the development of motor technology, motors are used more and more widely, meanwhile different areas also put forward new requirements for the performance of motors. At the request of green production, energy saving and environmental protection, the prospect of low speed torque motor is very broad, such as robots, household appliances, machine tools and automation equipment and so on. To improve the performance of related equipment, the dynamic performance and stationarity of the motor at low speed is important. In addition, in order to ensure the quality of motors, efficient and accurate test of motor performance is essential. So motor test system is developed to get the relevant parameters, and to provide technical support of performance testing and optimization of motors at low speed.First, the motor test system is built to get the parameters of motors. Unlike previous test system who based on model identification theory, the test system in this paper is based on automatic control theory to build the model of motors, and the relationship between parameters is obtained by related calculation. Motor friction model is established, and the related parameters are obtained, so that theoretical basis is provided for performance testing and optimization of motors at low speed.Second, based on the comparison between simulation calculation and test results of cogging torque variation before and after optimization to evaluate performance of motor test system. To reduce the change of other factors that affect motor frictional resistance, by analyzing the motor magnetic field, this paper put forward different optimization scheme of cogging torque, and select appropriate optimization program, then calculate by Ansoft Maxwell. According to the comparision of test results and simulation calculation of optimized motor, performance of this motor test system is evaluated.
