The rolling bearing is one of the fault sources in the offshore oil transfer pump, but the remain life is very difficult to estimate accurately. It is necessary to further research on the rolling bearing. In this paper, the operating status and fatigue life of the rolling bearing was studied based on Finite Element Method (FEM) and multibody dynamics, which is valuable for reasearch. This paper carried out the research from the following parts.Based on FEM, this paper studied on the impact of defects filed in advance on dangerous position, figured out the stress and strain distribution of different defect location, different defect size and different number of defects of rolling bearing, found the position of the rolling bearing fatigue failure occurs most often. Meanwhile, this paper carried out fatigue analysis of the rolling bearing with the help of ANSYS.Based on multi-body dynamics, the dynamic characteristics of rolling bearing was got by simulation analysis on the defective rolling bearing of rigid model, rigid-flexible model and flexible model. With the help of multibody dynamics simulation, the constraint force of each rolling bearing component can be obtained. The frequency domain signal of each component could obtain by spectral analysis. The deformation can analyze more accurately after the rigid flexibility of each components, then the modal neutral file can be generated with the help of ANSYS, further more the rigid-flexible model or flexible multibody model was built in ADAMS. At the same time, the load was applied to the defect rolling bearing FEM model, in order to simulate fatigue spalling of the rolling bearing.Finally, based on the above theory research, rolling bearing fatigue test was designed, the test phenomenon was observed and recorded, the historical data of rolling bearing deterioration was got. The problems in the fatigue test and bearing fatigue test variation was described in this paper, the frequency spectrum analysis was carried out on the test data. Finally, test results were compared with simulation results, the accuracy of the simulation were verified.
